Congratulations on your acceptance to Rhode Island School of Design. Key Events
An important decision now awaits you as you consider which college is best suited for your life goals. We are pleased to invite you and your family to visit the campus to help you learn more about becoming a RISD student and hopefully clarify your choice. Open House events were held on April 16, 21 and 25. At these events, members of the RISD community presented information about the College and answered questions. Tours of the campus will also be available. If you were unable to attend one of the April open house events, contact the Admissions Office (admissions@risd.edu) to discuss other visiting options.

In addition, RISD alumni in selected cities invite accepted students and their families to receptions to learn about the RISD experience from their unique perspectives. Follow this link to learn more about these events.

Orientation
You won’t want to miss this special series of programs designed to welcome you, give you an overview of things you should know and make you feel comfortable as you begin your journey at RISD. Orientation Check-in for freshmen begins Saturday, September 6, and runs until classes begin Wednesday, September 10. Details of the 2003 Orientation program will be posted at www.risd.edu/orientation.cfm in the summer. You may e-mail questions concerning orientation to oriented@risd.edu.
