Literary Arts and Studies Department Show

Each spring the Literary Arts and Studies Department organizes a multimedia exhibition that showcases the range and diversity of work completed in or inspired by Literary Arts and Studies classes. Often exploring the relationship between word and image, these outstanding examples of student work range from analytical research papers to digital poetry to installations that combine text and other media. The annual show includes analytical research papers, journalistic pieces, original poetry, fiction and memoir, and an exciting range of multimedia pieces that bring together text and image. Readings, performances and a publication of selected writing projects add engaging elements to the opening night festivities.

Former Literary Arts and Studies Concentration Coordinator, Joon Lee, was happy to announce the birth of "Neon Scrawlers," a blog of student work inspired by/ produced through words, during the 2010-2011 school year.  This 2011 edition of the department show features visual-video-textual work by: Brittany Bennett, Andy Chen, Jess Chen, Athanasiou Geolas, Esther Hong, Inna Komarovsky, Jamie Krasner, and  Rita Rosenfeld.  Special thanks to Katrina Stokes, Illustration 2011, for her work in putting the show-blog together.
