Undergraduate Information Programs

Information programs provide an excellent introduction to life at RISD, along with a detailed explanation of the application process. Each program includes a presentation by a member of the Admissions staff and a student-guided tour of campus.

Seating is limited at information programs, so all visitors must make a reservation to attend. Please call the Admissions Office at 401 454-6300 to make your reservation.

Programs are offered Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the year, and also on Mondays from October through January. The schedule of events is expanded in the summer and in July and August programs are available every weekday.

All information programs begin at 1 pm and the presentation and tour usually take about three hours. Weekday events take place in the Admissions Office, which is on the second floor of the Woods-Gerry House at 62 Prospect Street. Saturday events take place in the Chace Center, which is at 20 North Main Street.

During July and August, we also offer a tour-only option, which is well-suited for visitors with limited time and also prospective graduate students.  Every weekday (Monday-Friday) a RISD student will conduct a tour of the central campus, stepping off from the Woods-Gerry Building at 62 Prospect Street at 10:00 AM.  The tour will last about one hour.  A reservation is not needed for this tour-only option but Admissions staff will not be available for individual consultations.  Just show up and go!
