Undergraduate Information Programs

Information programs provide an excellent introduction to life and learning opportunities at RISD, along with a detailed explanation of the application process. Each program includes a presentation by a member of the Admissions staff and a student-guided tour of campus.

All information programs begin at 1 pm with a presentation, followed by a tour – for a total of about three hours. Weekday events take place in the Admissions Office, which is on the second floor of the Woods-Gerry House at 62 Prospect Street. Saturday events take place in the Chace Center, which is at 20 North Main Street.

Seating is limited at information programs, so all visitors must make a reservation to attend. Please call the Admissions Office at 401 454-6300 or email admissions@risd.edu to make a reservation.

Events are available on the following schedule with the exception of national holidays:

During the summer, we also offer a tour-only option, which is well-suited for prospective graduate students and visitors with limited time. Every weekday (Monday–Friday) in July and August a RISD student conducts a tour of the central campus, leaving from Woods-Gerry House (62 Prospect Street) at 10 am. The tour lasts about an hour. A reservation is not needed for this tour-only option but Admissions staff will not be available for individual consultations. So you can just show up and come along.
