Faculty: Judy Skoogfors-Prip


Attended the Philadelphia College of Art on a Board of Education scholarship. Studied with choreographers Antony Tudor and Robert Joffrey and was a founding member of the Ballet Guild, performing and designing costumes. Career as an illustrator began in Rochester, N.Y. where she was a staff fashion illustrator for Sibley, Lindsay and Curr Co., and a free lance illustrator. Judy returned to Philadelphia and handled the Nan Duskin account for the agency Kramer, Miller, Lomden, Glassman and taught at the Philadelphia College of Art; and later at Moore College of Art and Design, served as Chairperson of the Fashion Illustration Department. Illustrated six books by Adele Margolis on various aspects of Fashion Design and illustrated posters and advertising brochures for The Pennsylvania Ballet and other clients. In collaboration with choreographer Andrew Pap, designed sets and costumes for his ballet Contradance for the University of the Arts. Was a member of the Third Street Gallery in Philadelphia exhibiting paintings and prints. One print is represented in the book Images of Philadelphia. In 2005 began teaching Fashion Illustration for Apparel Design majors at RISD. Exhibited at the University of Rhode Island, Providence Art Club and RISD faculty exhibitions.
