Biography
Suzanne
Mancini was born Suzanne Silvia in Buffalo, NY in 1960. Suzanne lived in New
York, Toronto, Canada, Geneva, Switzerland and Connecticut as a child. She received a BFA in Fashion Design
from RISD in 1982. She then moved
to NY and worked as an Apparel Designer for Chaus, CMI and Charlotte
Neuville. She received a Masters
in Education from NYU in 1991. She
then relocated to Rhode Island to teach at RISD, from 1991-1996. In 1993 she started an herbal bath
company named Herbanario, which she eventually sold in 1998. She returned to teaching at RISD in
2006 after raising three young children.
She is currently employed by RISD and as a freelance designer. She resides in North Kingstown, RI with
her husband Greg and three children Quentin, Giuliana and Griffin.
