Senior Critic Frank C. Bosco joined RISD’s Ceramics department in 1993. In addition to teaching graduate and undergraduate classes, he has contributed to a number of additional campus initiatives. He helped to establish student and faculty advisory committees, organized student studios and other facilities and assembled and authored two in-depth source books used by students. He founded the New York/New Jersey Academy of Ceramic Art in 1997 and has also taught at the Parsons School for Design, Rutgers University, St. Peter’s College and Drew University. He earned his BFA from RISD and his MFA from Alfred University College of Ceramics. He has been the recipient of several grants, including a Mid-Atlantic Arts Fellowship from the NEA and an Artist Development Grant from RISD, and has shown his work in numerous East Coast museums and art galleries.
