Faculty: Samuel Leader

Biography

Sam Leader grew up in the UK and France and has lived in the US for the last ten years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Modern Languages from the University of Oxford and an MFA in Fiction from UC Irvine. For his writing he was recently awarded a fiction fellowship from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provinvcetown, and he is currently Writer in Residence at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. He is working on a novel entitled Dust, which features, among other things, a goldfinch, a missing woman, a sad young man and an aged demographer on trial for crimes against humanity.
