Academic Research/Areas of Interest
I explore themes of mental illness with an interdisciplinary approach which includes drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and digital media. I am obsessed with the human face and its infinite capacity for extremes of emotional expression. My current project "Falling" is a visualization of personal experience with depression and anxiety articulated through fifty self-portrait drawings and fifty self-portrait sculptures.
