Biography

Mark Guarraia ('05 ID) is a Senior Industrial Designer within Ximedica's Human Factors & Industrial Design team.  In his role, he works closely with research, engineering, and marketing to create actionable design solutions that directly respond to user needs.  Similarly, Mark works closely with his clients to ensure they are meeting their business goals while providing innovative and successful products. 

In addition to his role at Ximedica, Mark teaches within the Industrial Design Departments of both RISD and the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt).  He is passionate about both student development and promoting the importance of the profession.  Mark is an elected officer at the Industrial Designers' Society of America (IDSA) as well as the RISD Alumni Council, and volunteers his time and design skills for several Providence organizations. 

Mark was voted one of Providence Business News' '40 Under 40' in 2011 - an award that celebrates professional achievement as well as community involvement within the Ocean State.
