Biography
Jonathan
Bell is an architect and educator in Providence, Rhode Island, a member of the
American Institute of Architects and a LEED Accredited Professional.
He is an associate at William Kite Architects in Providence, where he has worked
primarily on adaptive reuse projects since 2002. He has also taught
design studios at Roger Williams University and RISD. His work at KITE, as well
as independent design projects and competition entries with other
collaborators, has won numerous awards.
Besides
his professional work, Jonathan’s academic interests have include exploring
intersections between film and architecture. He has published articles on film
noir (Shadows in the Hinterland: Rural Noir) and, most
recently, on studio research conducted at Roger Williams (FLICKER:
Speculations on Space and Cinema).
