Biography
Lori Talcott is a
Seattle-based studio jeweler. After studying art history at Lund University
(Sweden) and Metal Design at the University of Washington, she worked as an
apprentice to a master silversmith in Norway. Talcott divides her time between
studio, teaching and research, and is pursuing a graduate degree in art history
with a focus on medieval jewelry and material culture. She is the recipient of
two Washington Artist Trust fellowships and an Arts Fellowship from the
American-Scandinavian Foundation. Her work is in numerous private collections
and the permanent collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and
Renwick Gallery, and the Tacoma Art Museum.
