If you’re wrestling with psychological problems, please call Counseling Services at x6637 between 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday. If there is an emergency during non-ofﬁce hours, contact Public Safety at x6666 (401 454-6666); the ofﬁcer on duty will then notify the appropriate RISD staff member. Mental health professionals provide 24-hour emergency service; hospital evaluation is available if needed. Call 401-274-7111 at any time.

By listening and caring, the Samaritans try to alleviate the despair that can lead to suicide and rekindle the hope that life can become more worthwhile again. This is not a religious organization. There is a 24-hour hotline; call 401-272-4044 any time.
