Sometimes changes of room
assignment are necessary. Generally, room changes are not allowed during the
first two weeks of any semester. If you wish to initiate a room change, contact
your RA or your Area Coordinator for information on the procedures. All
students who are part of any proposed move must freely agree to do so. Students
who change rooms without approval are required to return to their original
assignments. RISD reserves the right to change a student’s room assignment at
any time, for any reason. Students in shared rooms who find themselves without
a roommate are contractually obligated to accept a new roommate at any time.
Behavior on the part of the original occupant that discriminates against a
newly assigned occupant of the room may result in the reassignment or removal
of the original occupant.
