Biography

BA, French and Philosophy, University of California at Santa Barbara; MA, Textile Design, California State University; MFA, Sculpture, RISD. Sklarek's work includes freelance design for industry, woven illustrations for advertising, and sculptural fiber pieces for exhibition. She teaches in the Textile Design Department at RISD, and was a visiting professor at Duksung Women's University in Seoul, Korea, and CEDIM Art Institute in Monterrey, Mexico.
