PETER TAGIURI
risd connection: Professor and Head, Department of Architecture; at RISD since 1987
professional practice: Peter Tagiuri currently
works with two firms that provide design services for commercial,
cultural and institutional projects: Open Studios in the US and Kilo in
Europe and North Africa. As a designer or consultant, he has been
involved in multi-unit artist housing/studios, academic buildings at
Princeton, and shops, apartments and offices in London. Coming from
early teaching positions at Pratt and Pennsylvania State University,
Tagiuri joined RISDs faculty in 1987 and has since traveled to
institutions around the world from Germany and Switzerland to Japan
and South Korea as a visiting critic and professor.
