Jason Grear

Jason Grear is a research ecologist for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Atlantic Ecology Division. In addition to teaching at RISD, he teaches in the Department of Natural Resources at the University of Rhode Island and has lectured at Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, where he earned his Ph.D. Grear is an active member of the New England Estuarine Research Society and has received a number of awards, including a Governor’s Service Award from the state of Connecticut, a Hutchinson Award at Yale and an EPA Science and Technology Achievement Award. He has published papers in numerous scientific journals, including the Journal of Avian Biology and the Journal of Wildlife Management.
