In September 2009, 420 students will start a journey as members of the Class of 2013. This is one of the most promising and diverse groups of students ever admitted to RISD!

As a way to welcome you, we invite you and your entire family to meet other admitted students, RISD alumni and RISD parents at any of the receptions for new students (listed below). At these events alumni and parents welcome new students and their families to informally answer questions and share wonderful RISD stories and help you get prepared and informed before it all starts for real this fall.

OPEN HOUSES FOR ADMITTED STUDENTS: April 15, 17 + 24, 2009, 1:30-5:30pm
Please join us on campus as members of the RISD community present helpful information about the college and answer questions. Current students will lead tours and talk informally about their own experiences here. Let us know which session you plan to attend by contacting the Admissions Office (800 364-7473; admissions@risd.edu). If you are unable to attend one of these events, we’d be happy to discuss other visiting options with you.

ALUMNI RECEPTIONS
RISD’s Alumni Association and RISD Alumni Engagement sponsor receptions for accepted students and their parents to meet graduates and learn about the RISD experience. This is an opportunity for you to talk in an informal setting with RISD graduates from a variety of disciplines and find out about their career paths, creative lives and their opinions on the value of a RISD education.
