Each year increasing numbers of young alumni make the decision to give back to RISD by making a gift to the Annual Fund in appreciation of their first-rate RISD education. These contributions provide for a variety of critical needs on campus including financial aid, technology enhancements, academic and career programming and studio upgrades.

In 1998 RISD launched the Future by Design — the college’s first comprehensive capital campaign — to raise $85 million to fund new scholarships and programs, build and renovate facilities and strengthen the college’s endowment. As we enter the final phase of the campaign, your gift can truly make a difference in the lives of RISD students. Over the next few years, RISD will expand classrooms and studio space, build a new library and create additional housing for 498 students.
