Life at RISD provides no shortage of diversions, on campus and off. In addition to first-rate resources and facilities, there are more than 50 student-run organizations. Students frequent exhibitions at eleven departmental and college galleries and at the world-class RISD Museum, and have access to athletic facilities at RISD and at nearby Brown University. Popular events featuring student work include the Film/Animation/Video festival and Collection, the Apparel Design department’s annual fashion show. Providence itself is a vibrant city, with renowned restaurants, an exciting gallery and theater scene and ready access to Rhode Island’s beaches.
