Entrance as a transfer student
You may apply to RISD if you have earned a minimum of 27 credits from a regionally accredited college (or will have by the time you would like to enter RISD). At least 12 of the college credits you have earned must be in liberal arts (non-studio) subject areas.

You may apply to RISD if you have earned your undergraduate degree (or will have by the time you would like to enter RISD) or have an equivalent education from another country.

Entrance as a Summer Studies student
All applicants must have a high school diploma or the equivalent, but some offerings require more advanced standing.
