Students in this program develop the creative, conceptual and technical skills necessary to enter or advance in the field of advertising for print, broadcast or electronic media. By developing creative thinking, marketing and production skills, students learn to produce effective advertising campaigns for various media. The result of this focused study is a portfolio that demonstrates innovative design solutions in marketing communications, and a greater sensitivity to the practical considerations driving both employers and clients.
To earn a certificate in Advertising Design, candidates must complete the following coursework as outlined in the curriculum guide. The sequence shown here is very important, as prerequisites must be observed to ensure success in each course. To maintain active status, students must take a minimum of two certificate courses per academic year. All courses, prerequisites and schedules are subject to
