2016 reaccreditation process | invitation to comment

From April 3–6, 2016, RISD is hosting an accreditation team representing the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (CIHE) at the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), one of seven regional college and university accrediting commissions in the US. Recognized by the US Department of Education, CIHE reaccredits RISD and approximately 240 other institutions in New England every 10 years.

NEASC accreditation is a totally voluntary process meant to assess the quality and efficacy of the education each institution offers. In preparation for the NEASC CIHE accreditation visit this spring, members of the RISD community and the general public are invited to submit feedback on the quality of the college. Comments need to address substantive matters as objectively as possible; the commission cannot settle disputes between individuals and the institution.

If you wish to submit a comment, it will go directly to NEASC but comments cannot be anonymous. In other words, you need to include your name, address (email or regular) and phone number so that a member of the commission can contact you should questions arise.

All comments must be received no later than April 6, 2016. Please email cihe@neasc.org using the subject line: Public Comment on RISD. Or mail your comments to:
