At RISD we recognize that food is not only a necessity, it’s an ideal way to bring students together outside the studio. We also know how demanding RISD’s curriculum can be and just how flexible we need to be as a result — to cater to the particular needs of a community of artists and designers. For us this means offering multiple locations, late-night hours, a wide variety of menu options and comfortable places to get together.

There are a variety of convenient choices for on-campus dining: The Met (in the residential Quad), the Portfolio Café (in 15 West), the Watermark Café (in The RISD Store), The Break (lobby of 20 Washington Place) and Carr Haus, the student-run coffee shop in Carr House.
