You are invited to meet some of the artists, designers, and curators connected to the Rafael Moneo-designed Chace Center. The opening of the Chace Center on September 27, 2008 will be marked by the return of Dale Chihuly to RISD where he founded the Glass Department and subsequently mentored, taught and inspired scores of other artists and students including contemporary figures such as Toots Zynsky [RISD ’74]. Several of the RISD alumni designers who have contributed to the overall aesthetic of the new complex will be available to discuss their work.
