The Design + Business Entrepreneurship Center, located in
downtown Providence, opened in fall 2002 to provide incubator workspace for nine
businesses. A program of training and consulting has been specially developed to
help design-based entrepreneurs, inventors, innovators and product developers
during the critical stages of successful business growth.
Developed by RISD, the Design + Business Entrepreneurship
Center is managed by The Center for Design + Business (CDB), a joint venture
between Bryant College and RISD.
Prospective clients include designers and inventors seeking to
protect, commercialize and/or develop businesses based on new product design or
invention; entrepreneurs hoping to expand a design-based business; and
established businesses wishing to provide training and assistance to those
developing new or redesigning old products.
