Dear Fusion Arts Students,

Welcome to the RISD/U.S. Department of State Fusion Arts Exchange Program for Digital Media!

It is our distinct privilege to host you and nineteen other student colleagues from around the globe who will converge at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, Rhode Island, this summer. While on campus you will participate in intensive workshops led by RISD faculty, attend a symposium featuring community leaders, collaborate with an artist in residence, and engage in social activities with art and design students.

Our Fusion Arts Exchange program will use Providence as home base for study with travel to artist studios and cultural organizations in Boston and New York City. You will participate in some intensive workshops and the AIGA regional conference in Denver, Colorado. The program will conclude in Washington, DC where you will tour for a day and spend time at the Department of State to comment on your experiences and assessment of the program.
