YES! All gifts are important to the ongoing success of the college. When corporations or foundations consider RISD as a giving option, they often ask about participation in giving. High rates of participation show a commitment from our closest friends and increase the chances of a gift from foundations and government agencies.

Gifts to the RISD Annual Fund can make a real difference in the lives of the next generation of artists and designers. Tuition and fees cover approximately 64% of the actual cost of a RISD education. The Annual Fund helps the College meet the gap.

Your contribution can provide crucial support for scholarships, student services, enhancements to facilities and technology, as well as helping RISD provide an exceptional academic experience for our students.

How can I fulfill my Annual Fund gift? [return to top]
RISD accepts VISA, MaterCard, American Express, checks, money orders and gifts of stock. If your employer has a matching gifts program, you can double or even triple your gift. Search RISD’s matching gifts database to find out if you or your spouse or partner work for a matching gifts employer. All Annual Fund gifts are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Do class reunion gifts count toward the Annual Fund goal? [return to top]
Absolutely. Contributions made in honor of your class reunion count toward the overall Annual Fund goal. It is not unusual for giving to increase by 50 percent during a reunion year.

Is it possible to give stock to RISD? [return to top]

Who supports the Annual Fund? [return to top]
Contributions from alumni, parents of current students, parents of alumni, faculty, staff, businesses and foundations all play an important role in the success of the RISD Annual Fund. Last year a total $1,059,452 in unrestricted gifts was contributed to RISD through the fund.
