In preparation for the transition to professional practice, candidates for master’s degrees complete a written thesis to articulate and synthesize the ideas behind their studio work. Thesis review committees include selected RISD faculty along with outside professionals from a variety of fields, which creates a rich and exciting environment for multi-perspective critical discourse.
