FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
The Office of International Programs (OIP) is available to help international students at Rhode Island School of Design with US Citizenship and Immigration Service procedures. Once an international student is accepted and enrolled into a full-time degree program, OIP advises students on all aspects of their academic program relating to their immigration status. The OIP is staffed by Designated School Officials (DSOs) who are responsible for RISDs compliance with federal immigration laws. OIP helps international students with the following issues:
· SEVIS related concerns
· I-20 endorsements
· Optional Practical Training (OPT) applications
· change-of-status requests
· proof of enrollment, procurement of social security numbers and Rhode Island state drivers licenses
FOR ALL STUDENTS
The OIP also coordinates many student programs on campus. RISD students are encouraged to contact the OIP when interested in the following:
· Student Exchange Program
· Student Mobility Program
· European Honors Program
· Thomas J. Watson Fellowship
