Gift of Frederick and Edith W. Bloom
This selection of richly glazed and elegantly shaped porcelain vessels celebrates a major gift of work created by the contemporary ceramist Thomas Bezanson. The generous donors of the 19 pieces, Fred and Edith Bloom, plan to continue their giving until, ultimately, their gift will represent the artists work from the 1960s through the 90s. The self-taught Bezanson began making pottery in 1953 and from 1959 until 1983 was a brother in the Benedictine Monastery of Weston Priory, Vermont.
