Liz Knight received her BA in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati and has had extensive experience inventing and designing products and toys. Her career started at Rubbermaid Commercial Products in Virginia, where she designed a range of functional products, including a bedpan.
The majority of her career has been devoted to the toy industry, and she was most recently vice president of design for girls’ toys at Hasbro. During her 15 years at Hasbro she worked with team members on a range of classic toys, such as My Little Pony, Mr. Potatohead, Playdoh, Easy Bake Oven and Littlest Pet Shop. She also has her own studio, Knight Design, and has been teaching design principles, toy design and shoe design at RISD for many years.
