Michael Siegel holds a PhD in Modern Culture and Media from Brown University. His scholarship focuses on critical social theory, aesthetics, popular culture and the digital. He has written on films by Michelangelo Antonioni, Dario Argento, Roberto Rossellini and Tony Scott and is currently developing research on race and American reality TV with a focus on The Bachelor franchise.
