Odette England

Odette England has exhibited in the UK, the US, Europe, Asia and Australia in such venues as the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film (Rochester, NY); the Museum of Contemporary Photography (Chicago, IL); the New Mexico Museum of Art (Santa Fe, NM); Durham Art Gallery (Durham, UK); the Photographic Resource Center (Boston, MA); the Center for Fine Art Photography (Fort Collins, CO); Host Gallery (London, UK) and the Newspace Center for Photography (Portland, OR).

She is a two-time UK winner of the Magenta Foundation Flash Forward Emerging Photographers competition and in 2012 won the prestigious CENTER $5,000 Project Launch Award, juried by Virginia Heckert, Associate Curator, J. Paul Getty Museum. In 2014 England was a finalist for four major Australian art prizes, and in 2015 shortlisted for the Australian Photo Book of the Year Award.

England graduated with honors from RISD in 2012 and holds an MA in Communication Culture & Language and a BA in Painting and Drawing from the University of South Australia. She is represented in the US (East Coast) by Klompching Gallery and is currently completing her PhD at The Australian National University in Canberra.
