Samuel Solomon joined the RISD community in early 2014 after more than 24 years at Northeastern University. There he originally served as the business manager in the Athletic Department before joining the Finance Office in 1993, where he advanced from senior budget analyst to assistant budget director in 1997.

Solomon holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and both an MBA and a PhD from Northeastern University. In addition, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has presented at NACUBO and co-authored an article for Business Officer Magazine entitled Blending a Proper Mix.
