For a comprehensive list of what is going on, in and around
Providence, take a look at the The Providence Journal. Here you will not only find reviews of
current movies, theater productions and musical performances, but also
advertisements from practically every restaurant and cafe in town and classifeds.
In addition to the Web site, The Phoenix, Rhode Islands largest
weekly, is available at nearly every eating/entertainment establishment in
Providence. Many films are shown (free of charge) each week at RISD and Brown;
information on screenings is usually posted around campus. There are also two
good movie theaters, an IMAX theater and a repertory company near campus.
