Commencement is a vibrant celebration of the RISD
experience. Graduates typically festoon their caps and gowns with
wonderful or outrageous decorations or create a costume of their own
design. Commencement 2008 — Saturday, May 31 at 10am — was outdoors on South Water Street at Power Street, with the city of Providence and its waterfront as a spectacular backdrop.
