New Students

The Residence Life staff strives to foster a community that empowers you, as a student, to explore your personal and artistic development in an open and inclusive environment.

When you arrive on campus, our talented Resident Advisors and Orientation Leader staff members will welcome you. They will offer activities and support to ensure your successful transition to RISD. Orientation programs will teach you more about RISD, help you meet new people, and start your college experience at one of the most prestigious art and design schools in the country.
