International Programs

The purpose of the Office of International Programs is to provide valuable services and support that enable the RISD community to address the challenges of art and design in a globalizing world.

The Office of International Programs advises students on RISD study abroad and international education options. OIP assists students with specialized international grant applications, including the Gilman and Boren scholarships, and supports incoming exchange students.  OIP supports the development of faculty-led short term travel.

All study abroad programs for credit are handled through the Office of International Programs. These include; International Exchange with 45 colleges in 26 countries; AICAD Mobility Program (exchange within the US and Canada); European Honors Program and Wintersession Travel Courses.
