The main goal of the Residence Life program is to develop an environment in RISD's residence halls that supports academic and personal growth while ensuring the safety, individual security and well-being of all resident students.

The professional staff members in Residence Life work with students appointed as Resident Assistants and Community Advisors to develop educational and social opportunities, resolve conflicts and improve communication in the resident community.
