Undergraduate Information
Programs
Information programs are an excellent introduction to life at RISD and provide a detailed explanation of the application process. Each program includes a presentation by a member of the Admissions staff and a student-guided tour of the campus.
Programs are offered Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the year, and on Mondays from October through January. The schedule of events is expanded in the summer and in July and August programs are available every weekday.

All information programs begin at 1pm and the presentation and tour usually take
about three hours. Weekday events take place in the Admissions Office, located
at 62 Prospect Street (download
a weekday visit information sheet) and Saturday
events take place in the Chace Center, located at 20 North Main Street (download
a Saturday visit information sheet).
Seating is limited at these events, so visitors must make a reservation to attend. Contact the Admissions Office at 401 454-6300.

IN FOCUS begins promptly at 9:00am at the Center for Integrated Technologies (CIT) * where the Graduate Studies Office and many graduate studios are situated * at 169 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence. Come in, walk past the Sol Koffler Graduate Gallery, and head to Room 103.

Dean of Graduate Studies Patricia Phillips presents an in-depth discussion of the 16 graduate programs at RISD, on- and off-campus living opportunities, and studio spaces and facilities. The Director of Financial Aid speaks about Federal Loans as well as RISD Assistantships, Fellowships, and Scholarships, and the steps necessary to take to finance your graduate experience. Graduate Student Liaisons, or GSLs, from each of the 16 departments offer impromptu and keen perspectives about living and working at RISD. Every session invites different guest speakers from the college to contribute to the on-going discussion of graduate study at RISD. You are welcome to ask questions at any time.

A Graduate Student Liaison (GSL) in your program of interest conducts a personal, department-orientated tour of the campus * rain or shine * so please bring an umbrella. This is a great occasion for you to see studios, critique spaces, department facilities and technical shops, and meet other RISD students along the way.
12-1pm * Graduate Department Faculty Coordinator Meeting
Your GSL guide brings you to the Graduate Coordinator's office for an
informal meeting for discussions, questions, and answers.
1pm * Information Session ends. If you have time to stay on campus, you may choose to visit The RISD Museum of Art with a free guest pass, Woods-Gerry Gallery, Sol Koffler Graduate Gallery, the new Chace Center including risd|worksa retail/gallery space of faculty and alumni workor tour Providence.

If you are unable to visit during one of the IN FOCUS dates, the Admissions Office * for both undergraduate and graduate admission * provides campus tours throughout the year.
