A graduate of RISD, Chris’s diverse professional experiences includes installing the Hall of Ocean Life at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City and working as a staff designer for renowned designers Ayse Birsel and Bibi Seck. In addition to his work as a furniture designer, his experience designing consumer products spans from the commercial furniture and automotive industries to personal care and stationary categories for clients such as Herman Miller, Renault, Target, P&G, and HP. His work has been featured in publications including The New York Times, Wallpaper, and Metropolis and has been exhibited at Matter, The Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art, and Rivington Arms. He is an affiliated designer with Kaiju Studios, a Providence based design services firm, where he co-designed the Aira Desk and Media Cabinet, one of Herman Miller’s first new residential furnishings products in over a decade. As an independent designer, his approach examines how production, materials, and utility mediate the status of objects in our culture.
