Faculty: Eric Anderson

Biography

Eric Anderson joined the RISD faculty in 2012. He taught previously at Kendall College of Art and Design, the Cooper-Hewitt/Parsons Graduate Program in Design History, and Columbia University, where he received his Ph.D. in 2009. Professor Anderson's teaching and research encompass the history of modern interiors, architecture, furniture, and product design, the history of design exhibitions and publications, and the relationship between design and the social sciences. He recently published an article on the intersection of theories of fashion and interior design, and is currently writing a book on the culture of design in Ringstrasse Vienna.
