The RISD Archives collect, preserve and provide access to records covering the history and development of the RISD School and Museum, as well as the contributions of individuals involved with RISD. The Archives collections include administrative files for College & Museum departments; records of past Museum exhibitions; information on RISD buildings; historic photographs; records of faculty, past students and alumni; and RISD publications. Records in the Archives date from RISD’s founding in 1877 to the present. Contact the Archives for assistance researching any aspect of RISD's history (appointments preferred).
