Heidi Lee

Heidi Lee lives and works in NYC as an artist/designer straddling the intersection of art, fashion and technology. Her work challenges and summons the viewer on a universal level, as if a mythological mind/storyteller walks among us now. Not just borrowing from past aesthetics, she builds on a cosmology that links the modern world with our past. Lee received her BFA from RISD and garnered the 2012 Accessory Design Award from the MET Costume Institute. She has taught at Parsons, NYU, 92NY, National Arts Club, Brooklyn Museum, MAD Museum and Beam Center and has guest lectured at Google (Mountain View), FIT, Parsons, NYU ITP/IMA, UPenn and VCU Arts (QA). Lee has also served as guest critic at Eyebeam’s Computational Fashion Master Class.
Lee is currently on the International Advisory Council for ICP and has exhibited at MoMA’s Prime Time, New Museum’s New Inc., MAD Biennial, SCAD Museum, Derby Museum, Charles Wright Museum, National Centre for Craft & Design, Science and Industry Museum (UK), Arnhem Mode Biënnale, Spielzeug Welten Museum and Swarovski Manufaktur. Her clientele includes Beyoncé, JLO, Billy Porter, Pat McGrath, Anne Hathaway, Madonna, G-Dragon, Lady Gaga, Missy Elliott and Lauryn Hill.
