Joo Young (Judy) Kim is a Korean American artist. She enjoys working in moving image, audio and photography mediums, in both analogue and digital formats. Her work often explores relationships between humans and nature. With audio, she creates original soundscapes, as well as collaborating with directors on traditional and experimental sound design for films of various genres. Her film work has screened at festivals such as Fisura International Festival of Experimental Film & Video, Amarcort Film Festival, ScreenDance Festival Stockholm and Grrl Haus Cinema. She participated in the sound work of films screened at festivals such as Berlinale, Toronto International Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival.
