Tony Bluestone

Critic - Painting

Tony Bluestone earned an MFA from Hunter College and has participated in multiple residencies, including the Shandaken Project, the Basil Alakazzi Residency in Detroit and the Prattsville Art Center Residency. She has had solo shows at Elaine L. Jacob Gallery at Wayne State University in Detroit and Larrie in NYC and was part of a two-person show (with Hannah Barrett) at La MaMa Galleria in NYC. She has shown work in group exhibitions at Rachel Uffner Gallery, Freight + Volume, the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the New School, E. TAY Gallery and Left Field Gallery and has also performed written works at Storm King Art Center. In 2017, she received the John Koch Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. In addition to teaching at RISD, Bluestone has taught at Cooper Union and SUNY Purchase.
