Isa Rodrigues

Isa Rodrigues is a textile artist and educator from Portugal based in Brooklyn. She received her MA in textile conservation from the New University of Lisbon, Portugal, and moved to New York in 2008 to work with the textile collections of the department of Arts of Africa, Oceania and the Americas at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as an Andrew W. Mellon conservation fellow. In 2010 she joined the founding team of the Textile Arts Center (TAC), New York, where she still works as co-director. Rodrigues has taught weaving, dyeing and natural dyeing for more than 10 years at TAC and other venues in New York. Her work has been exhibited at the Museum of Art and Design and the Cooper Hewitt Museum, and she has collaborated with clients such as Altuzarra, M. Patmos, Google, ED by Ellen, Gabriella Hearst and Thompson Street Studio.
