Benjamin Tiven

Benjamin Tiven is a filmmaker and writer who co-directs the archive/publisher Library Stack. His work was included in recent exhibitions at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia; Delfina Foundation, London; Fotografisk, Copenhagen; Bemis Center, Omaha; and Westfälischer Kunstverein, Münster. Screenings were held at the MUMOK, Austria; FIDMarseille, France; International Film Festival Rotterdam, the Netherlands; International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Germany; Courtisane Festival, Belgium; Museum of the Moving Image, US; and Arsenal Kino, Germany. Tiven has contributed to the journals Triple Canopy, Bidoun, Nka: Journal of Contemporary African Art and Bulletins of the Serving Library. He completed the Whitney Independent Study Program in 2012 and the Fellowship for Art and Theory at Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen, Innsbruck, in 2015–16.
