Mary-Ann Agresti AIA established the Design Initiative, a full-service interior design and architecture firm, in 1997 and has since developed an international body of work ranging from individual private residences to complex educational renovations. While varied in program and scale, each project demonstrates a commitment to problem solving and detail. Her firm has won a number of awards, including an AIA/Connecticut Design Award and an AIA/Springfield Missouri Chapter Honor Award. Agresti earned her Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and her BFA from Syracuse University. She has been teaching at RISD since 2004 as both a studio critic and lecturer.
