Miles Endo was born in Tokyo, Japan and raised in Honolulu, HI. As the son of two musicians, he has a deeply ingrained sense of the culture of craft. After earning a degree in Industrial Design from RISD, he spent years honing his skills designing bespoke furniture and custom cabinetry for private and commercial clients with precision and patience at the heart of every project. He established his studio in 2012 on the principles of hands-on making and craftsmanship.
In 2015 Endo launched his debut lighting collection, the HIRA Series, at the Architectural Digest Show in New York, receiving critical acclaim. Since that time, the collection has been refined and grown to include a comprehensive set of lighting fixtures catering to the residential and commercial market. Despite the larger scale of the studio, the workshop remains at its center. The spirit of craftsmanship and quality exists in every product with Endo overseeing every detail from concept to installation.
